A Club Dedicated to the Memory of the Scottish poet Robert Burns
The Calgary Burns Club holds the memory of Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) and the fellowship arising out of that memory to be one of the most important aspects of being Scottish Calgarians. The Calgary Burns Club fosters an interest in Scottish literature, art and music by sharing its talents with the community and through support of events involving Scottish cultural activities.
Events
The Calgary Burns Club signature event is the annual Burns Supper, a Calgary tradition for over 50 years. Combining the best in Scottish food and entertainment, it is not to be missed!
Robert Burns
Robert Burns was a ploughman and a poet and is considered Scotland’s national bard. The Calgary Burns Club has a wealth of information on the life and legacy of Burns available for the benefit of all Burnsians.
